The final days of November flow into early December with powerful cosmic energies. The New Moon in Sagittarius (Nov 30) opens a portal for fresh beginnings, especially around exploration, higher learning, and expanding our horizons. This adventurous energy calls us to set intentions aligned with our truth and biggest dreams.

As the Moon enters Capricorn (Dec 2), we feel a shift toward groundedness and practicality. This transit helps us structure and materialize the visions sparked during the New Moon. The Moon's movement into Aquarius (Dec 4) then awakens our innovative thinking and desire for positive social change.

A significant Sun-Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius (Dec 5) illuminates our mental faculties and communication. This alignment supports gaining clarity about our path forward and expressing our authentic truth. Remember Mercury is still in gatorade, I mean retrograde (!) until and communication, electronics, contracts etc might be off. I know I'm feeling it in my email and personal communication.

Mars stationing retrograde (Dec 6) marks a crucial turning point. This extended retrograde period until February 2025 invites us to reassess how we assert ourselves, use our energy, and pursue our desires. It's a time for strategic planning rather than forceful action.

Venus conjunct Pluto (Dec 7) brings intensity to relationships and values, potentially revealing deeper truths about what we truly desire. Neptune stationing direct the same day lifts some of the fog we've been experiencing, though its spiritual influence remains strong as the Moon enters Pisces, creating a dreamy, intuitive atmosphere.

Also to note: Chiron (the wounded healer) is retrograde Dec 1-29th (so consider where it might show up in your chart (and if it's retrograde in your natal chart, this can be a powerful time to heal.

When Chiron stations retrograde, it initiates a powerful period of inner healing and reflection. Known as the "Wounded Healer" in astrology, Chiron's retrograde motion turns our attention inward to examine our core wounds, traumas, and areas of deep vulnerability.

During a Chiron retrograde period, we often:

  • Revisit past hurts that haven't fully healed

  • Gain new insights into our patterns of pain and healing

  • Face our insecurities with greater awareness

  • Discover how our wounds can become sources of wisdom and strength

  • Experience opportunities to heal others through our own healing journey

This transit tends to bring up themes around:

  • Self-acceptance and self-worth

  • Physical and emotional healing

  • Teaching and mentorship

  • Areas where we feel fundamentally different or inadequate

  • The integration of painful experiences into our life story

The retrograde period creates a contemplative space where we can examine these sensitive areas from new angles, often leading to breakthrough insights about our healing journey. While this transit can bring up difficult emotions, it ultimately serves our growth by helping us transform wounds into wisdom.
